The Department of Emergency Medicine at Wayne State University is located in Detroit, Michigan, and operates in collaboration with the Detroit Medical Center. Notably, our department is distinct in that it hosts two separate emergency medicine residency programs, based at Detroit Receiving Hospital and Sinai-Grace Hospital. Our catchment area, which includes Detroit, serves a predominantly Black/African American population, making up approximately 79% of the community.
